Michael to Open New Falkirk Office

New Falkirk West MSP, Michael Matheson, has announced that he is to open a local office in Falkirk Town Centre for local constituents.

The SNP member has signed a lease for premises just off the High Street at 15a East Bridge Street and the office is being refurbished at the moment to provide residents with a place for consultation on issues of concern.

Michael hopes that the office will be open most days to allow constituents with a problem easy access to him and other SNP staff. Local SNP Councillors in the Falkirk North Ward are also likely to use the premises for local surgeries thus providing an additional service to residents.

The premises are likely to be open mid September but Michael is already making arrangements to ensure that the people of Falkirk West have every opportunity to meet with him to discuss personal problems or local issues.

Talking to the SNP website Michael said,

"It has taken a bit longer than I had hoped but I was keen to ensure that any local office was easily accessible to the people of Falkirk west.

East Bridge Street is not only accessible but also central to the entire town centre where people from all over the constituency can easily locate.

In addition to a drop in service there will still be surgeries held throughout the constituency but it is important there is a central base."
